Description

Modelling and rendering in Bryce, post in PSP and PS7. Stone mats are photo based. I used a little artist(?) license on the sea. Please leave constructive comments to improve this image. Seems too bland.

really beautiful sea scene....especially like that sky....and the rock mats are very good too. Maybe increasing the contrast...especially on the lighter side of the lighthouse might make it more dramatic.

Thanks, vangogh, the suggestion to accent the lighthouse rocked. I illuminated my original in post work and it is 1000% better. Maybe I'll repost it in a few weeks with any other suggestions that may crop up. I guess I should have posted as WIP. Tks again, Willie

Looks superb!! What an awesome vantage point!! I get the creeps though, because it reminds me of a "Night Gallery" episode, where the ghost had died by falling into a big crack in a rock (By a lighthouse?) just like this! Eerie!! The water and atmosphere is great too!!!

Very well rendered! Rock and sky are especially noteworthy as is the sea! Perhaps just a change of POV would help? Raise the height of the viewer to be above the lighthouse and add a little tilt as well. Not sure how much rework that will require in PS though! Great work!

Not bland by any means!!!! Superbly crafted!!!! If it lacks something for you maybe try a night scene with the lighthouse light on. Might be more dramatic but this is superb!!!!!

Fantastic image and rocks!!!!I would have added higher waves that meet on the rocks producing a lot of foam!

Excellent render. Since the sky is predominantly orange, a bluer complimentary color (opposites on the color wheel), would balance the color composition. Applied to the dark earth colors of the rocks and slightly on the water. A little more reflection on the beach and viola, it might improve & might be fun experimenting, color wise...just my fleeting thoughts...
