From a vantage point above power lines, the last remaining owner occupied home
between city limits with populations of 451,066 and 135,234 will become part of
a community of new upscale town homes, starting May of 2017.
Being the last of my family to own land at this location since 1942
has been a burden and an honor, with times of pleasure and pain.
In this place,
I learned to swim, hunt, nourish plants and wildlife, adapt to maintenance of a well and septic tank,
run through the woodlands (as an animal), bury my Father, while forgiving him of all harsh thoughts,
and held my Mother in my arms as she died.
... now it's time to move on.
Four generations of my family have been a part of this vanishing scene,
of woodlands being exchanged for concrete monuments. Shalom

Lovely photos, Kenn. It's always a heartache to leave, but you will always have the memories.
