There are some very simple -yet effective- metals, and some neons. The corresponding "aura" materials require an enveloping mesh.
The MT5 named "0 ambient boost nodes" is not a full material, but just a group of nodes. It's purpose is to enable you to make anything you want to glow. 😄
Select it and add it to your material. Whatever the final node output was that you had plugged into diffuse, plug it into the two places shown. Then choose one of the color blocks in the right-hand stack and plug that into the V2 of the hyperwhite amplifier node. Light greys will add gentle lightcasting; dark greys will make the material project light intensely. You can delete all of the other (unused) color blocks. Plug the output of 1invis_2vis_tex into the Poser surface root node's ambient socket with the ambient value set to 1. If that doesn't make sense, just apply one of the neons to some material and look at the node connections.
