Renderosity Featured at Sci-Fi Weekly

Last week, Sci-Fi Weekly reviewed Renderosity as their "Site of the Week"! Here are some of the highlights of what they had to say... "An online village of digital artists, Renderosity has since 1998 sought to build a community founded upon mutual respect, collaboration and the idea of furthering the artistic growth of animators, photographers and digital artists of all stripes. Seasoned pros and the newest of the new are equally welcome at this busy and vibrant Web site, wrote A.M. Dellamonica. "One feature of especial interest to new artists is the tutorials section of the Web page. There, Renderosity members have lovingly spelled out techniques for rendering gaming characters, tweaking digital photos, writing and just about everything else relating to 2-D and 3-D artwork. This kind of generous information sharing is the order of the day at the site, whichjudging from its immense galleries and busy forumshas entirely succeeded in its quest to create a shared virtual studio, a safe space where artists can appreciate and nurture each other's work." To read the entire review, please visit the Sci-Fi Weekly Web Site at http://www.scifi.com/sfw. Also worth mentioning are the talented Renderosity artists that have been selected to grace the covers of the Sci-Fi Weekly publication, this year alone the following artists have been on the covers:

There have been quite alot of Renderosity artists featured on the 'cover' of SFW. It's a great way to give sci-fi artists some exposure and a great portfolio reference. :D Cover #457(January 23, 2006) is mine. It's awesome to know that someone notices the 'little' artists.

That's wonderful news! I just wish I hadn't missed inclusion in this list by 2 weeks, for having made the cover of Sci-Fi Weekly (cover #450) with my image "Alienscape." Oh well, if it was meant to be... Congratulations all!

Hi jif3d, We are excited for Luca Oleastri and Tony Duarte as well. They were also selected as Sci-Fi Weekly cover artists, after this article was published. Thanks for letting us know, Lillian P.S. If the artist does not to reference their Renderosity Artist Homepage, it makes it hard to know if they are a Renderosity artist.

I, too, was very happy to have Gyro Test Run asked to spend a week on Sci-Fi Weekly's home page starting July 10,2006. It's nice to see how influential Renderosity artists are over there :-)
