Who is outoftouch?
Actually "outoftouch" is a little team of 3 persons from Germany, although I, Timo, am the one who stand all of Vicky's good or bad moods. ;-) To say, I'm the one who does all the Poser related stuff. ;-) Beneath Poser and Vicky, if there is a "beneath" ^^, I love playing Wii with friends, chatting, listening to music or do music on our own, together also with my two partners. Without music I could not live and work. I'm always a happy guy who loves to laugh.
What are you currently working
Oh there is a lot of stuff I'm working on, especially together with Bianca and Ilona... There always is not just one project I'm working on, there are tons and I love doing 1000 things alltogether.
I found out when working on different projects at the same time, each project flows smoothier. When concentrating on one single item at a time, it takes longer.
Currently we are in the final phase of our new 'Topmodel Kit 2',
coming soon. As well as a project for Halloween and already working
on a "New Year's Eve" party-package. Beneath that we also
another cool "Props & Pose" package in the making.
Of all the software that you develop in, which is
your favorite and why?
Hard to say but Photoshop came into my mind first. This is the software where you start a project (sketching and textures) and finish it (promos), it is the most creative one. I love to experiment and although working with it for years, you always find out something new everyday.
Where do you find inspiration for your
I love watching fashion shows, movies, fashion magazines or just watching people on the street, shop windows from fashion stores inspire me hugely.
Also music and music videos inspire me. Last but not least there are my partners, especially Bianca & Ilona. A simple idea begins to grow into infinity when discussing about it. Inspiration just flows there.
Do you have any advice for aspiring Digital Content
Please really enjoy and love what you are doing! There is nothing worse than doing something you do not like or want. Always try to do the best you can! Be creative and try to experiment.
You do incredible textures and promotional images.
How do you get your lighting so perfect? Is it a trick you do in
PhotoShop or is it the lighting you use in your Poser
Thank you :-) No this is no trick in Photoshop, it is more or less thousands of hours of light adjusting in Poser ;-). I'm always adjusting the lights for each product because some models react this way and other models in another way.
If you use Poser 6 or 7 you can take the advantage of IBL lighting. I found out that IBL lighting together with specular lights and infinte lights make an amazing combination and brings everything into the right light.
A great package of IBL Lights can be found in the marketplace, "The Private Collection" by SaintFox. As well as the new Topmodel Kit 2 will include a set of IBL lightings I'm making use of in my recent promo pictures.
How has this online Community (Renderosity) enhanced
your work, relationships, and
