Matrix Screen Tutorial

Skill Level: Beginner / Views: 307

This tutorial will show you how EZ making that famous matrix screen really is. I did this in PhotoShop7 but probly can be done on others.

Step 1.

1. Open New file. DPI and canvas size does NOT matter

2. Leaving your canvas white, choose black for the foreground and white for the background.

Very nice, liked it a lot, so if I want to do a scene like the one Neo sees in the end of Film One how coul I do it? I mean, using a photo of me is it possible to "Matrixlize" it ?

GODspeed, I think it is an awesome and awesomely easy's quick and easy for beginners. Those who are advanced and think they can do better can go and do one on their own. Thank you for posting it and please don't remove it, there are newbies (like me) always wanting to learn something new and they need easy, not advanced, to start out with.

if u make this tutorial @ 300 DPI with the fonts instead of the grain.. different sized... and tweak it a little more then the 2 min version... you cannot tell the difference, comparing it to a real screen shot from the movie.. if you think you can do better genosiideri, I invite you to go ahead and make that tutorial and post it, and ill remove mine, since it so FLIPPING inferior...

genosiideri  4:19AM Thu, 15 May 2003

I think that it could have been done better.

Penguinisto  3:29PM Tue, 13 May 2003

FYI, I can simply do a screenshot of the Matrix screensaver in action... but you gotta have Linux forst to get the version without all the spam on it :)

Nice effect. Now to just figure out an easy way of doing that with text/Matrix characters. They say in the making of the matrix they composited a screen of falling text characters with actual video of a waterfall.
