Please keep in mind that I am going to outline how I do my MAT poses. For me this is the quickest and easiest way, you may prefer a different workflow. This tutorial will work on props as well however it is written for figures, see end of tutorial for prop info.
Tired of seeing the same face every time you start Poser Pro 2012? Why not customize it with an image of your own? Its easy, all you need is a graphics program capable of reading & saving psd files (I know you have one after all you are a graphic artist!).
Using Puppy Ray (new to PD Howler 9) to render a post-apocalyptic cityscape scene, starting from floorplans of houses. The creation phase of the elevation map can be inspiration for use in other tools and even with PD Howler 8 into the GPU based 3D Designer for animated rendering.staigermanus on 7:18AM Sat, 17 August 2013
A simple effect that I use in most all of my art work on the overall piece or smaller sections as well as my photographs. Gives your work a little more "pop".
This quick tutorial, or I should say quick overview, will show you one of many methods I have used. And it's a new method I have been working with to achieve better understanding of colors and of the Photoshop program itself.
This tutorial is designed to get your avatar out of Poser and into Marvelous Designer, show you how to repose your figure in Marvelous Designer, then export your finished clothing out of Marvelous Designer and into Poser for rendering.Pandarr on 12:03PM Tue, 06 August 2013
A little tutorial on how to use your Victoria 4 (or older Genesis 1) clothing on Genesis 2/V6 in Poser.
How to convert your 3D clothing to look like it's hanging on a washing line in Low Poly. Includes pegs and washing line. More at http://www.facebook.com/scififunkIf you are into 3D you've invariably built up a decent runtime of clothes from various eras. So the long winded step to create the clothes can be bypassed.Instead I am proposing to "pose" just the item of clothing, editing it so that it sags appropriately as if it's been hung up to dry on a washing line. The process is quite quick but has one drawback (filesize and load time - ok that's two) - unless you follow this series and make the item low poly.In part 1 I concentrate on creating a single item of clothing, the peg and the washing line.http://www.facebook.com/scififunkhttp://www.scififunk.com
This animation is based on the techniques of oil painting, working through an established rendition of oil to canvas. The artist Alex Prowse has used this technique for many years as a basis for illustration work.Ben a Poser figure helps the artist along.

For anybody who's downloaded my tiling mail textures and thinks it must be difficult to make them - it's not! This 15 page PDF shows how I make tiling textures from a 3D model. As long as you're familiar with Blender you should be able to follow these 12 steps quite easily and start creating your own seamless tiling textures. (If you use another 3D modelling app the same principles apply...)
The Poser/DAZ Studio WorldBall freebies let you easily add your own 360 azimuth / 90 elevation environment sets. This 10 page PDF (10 pages) outlines my method of creating those environment sets from scratch using just free software - Terragen Classic, GIMP, and HDRShop Version 1.
