Had a brainwave today and thought the morph tool would be perfect to get figures to interact with objects, like making a dent on a bed where a figure is sitting. This is just a simple tute though to demonstrate the process.PPro and P8
Conforming skirts and dresses can be a real pain to pose, especially when the character pose is more extreme or the character is heavily morphed. Dynamic skirts and dresses have the advantage that Poser 5 can do the cloth fitting for you. This tutorial will show how to convert an existing conforming clothing item to a dynamic one. For this tutorial I will use PhilCs miniskirt for Judy, available as a freebie on his site, www.philc.net, and of course I will use Judy.Poser 5 is required; dynamic cloth is not available in Poser 4, Poser Pro Pack, Poser Artist or DAZ|Studio. SR4 is highly recommended, but this tutorial will work for all versions of Poser 5 even the original unpatched version.svdl on 2:46PM Sat, 01 January 2005
Dynamic Clothing Tutorials for Victoria 4, step by step.Cute3d on 4:06AM Wed, 09 July 2008
UPDATED 3/17/2009 at 7:30 PM EST (BROKEN LINK FIXED)After months of trial-and-error, research, and raw effort, I've arrived at a skin shading technique that I believe is actually worth sharing with others! It's optimized for M4/V4, but it can be easily adapted to virtually any figure.Iuvenis_Scriptor on 11:19PM Sat, 28 February 2009
This tutorial goes through the process of importing your Poser mesh into Zbrush 2; how to manipulate the mesh to create a custom morph; how to export the mesh; how to import it into Poser 6; and how to create and install you new custom morph onto a Poser figure.
Wardrobe Wizzard and Tailor do not support all figures. Most clothes can be easy convert from one figure to another using only Poser. Converting clothes is easier if figures has the same or similar body parts and if clothes are "one piece", without loops, belt, pockets, ties etc.I hope that images help you understand my "English" ;)
This tutorial describes how to use UV Mapper Classic (free version) or UV Mapper Professional to create templates for models that have multiple texture maps. Also includes several images that show which materials appear on each texture map for all Poser 5 figures, as well as DAZ figures (Victoria 1, 2 and 3; Michael 1, 2 and 3; Millenium Kids; and Millenium Baby)
Importing 3D clothing meshes into Poser to make conforming cloth just got a whole lot easier with PhilC's Obj2Cr2 Python script utility. If you do your prep work right - and there's not really all *that* much that needs doing - you will find yourself freed from the frustration of that bane of Poser content developers: the "Setup Room".A caveat: this is how *I* import clothing made in Blender3D. I may have left a tickbox unticked or left some key point unsaid. Please let me know if you find yourself at a loss as to how to continue. Be happy to help. Another caveat: this tutorial was written a long time ago Blender 2.45?? - WOW!)... I only recently discovered that during a website reshuffle some images were moved, which I've restored. The tutorial still works even in the newer versions of Blender and Poser. I've almost completely gone to dynamic cloth, however, so do not avail myself much of mechanisms that facilitate modelling conforming cloth anymore.
After much trial and error, creating custom morphs in ZBrush for Poser really begins in how you export your Wavefront OBJ files from Poser. This quick tutorial takes you step by step through the process to ensure successful results each time.NOTE: Nudity
This tutorial is derived from my latest book "3D Game Textures: Create Professional Game Art Using Photoshop, Second ed." In it I discuss the latest game technology; shaders, node based materials - you know all the stuff Poser has in it. I notice that the powerful Poser material system seems to scare some away or people don't realize it's there. This tutorial may help warm you up to the awesome power of the Poser material system.
