A pair of Carolina wrens had built a nest in my water softener and I had my webcam watching and waiting for several days hoping to see some new babies. Unfortunately for me and the wrens this rat snake wanted some eggs for breakfast. He looks like he has satisfied his hunger... If you have a taste for the creepy I have a wmv webcam video posted here of the snake in the nest. There is also a video of the wren couple in happier days. The snake didnt appear to have taken one of the adults so maybe the pair will pick a safer location for their next nest. This pretty much creeped me out, hope you faired a little better. Mike
