Description

Okay, first attempt at making this look more used and abused. The film of filth on the windscreen maybe needs toned down a bit. Just used a spots node to drive the placement of rust patches. Texturing of those (gouging / scratching) is using textures lifted from the BB / Dreamland Furniture sets. Think I either need to figure out how to use the u / v etc. nodes to just form rust on the certain surface orientations, or else paint a map to control where the rust appears. Getting there though I reckon? Any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated :-)

So far, so good. The rust spots look fine but you need to back off a lot on the reflections and if possible, add some small scratches to the surface without removing any more of the paint. Take a look at old rusty vehicles and see how there are lots of tiny scratches which dull the paint.
