I wanted to give my wishes to all who served---and serve---to protect and save others. I'm going to include health workers who risk their lives now, and even the regular workers who, during this pandemic, have put their lives out there, to keep everyone else whole. But, for the soldiers who deserve all our gratitude---incl those of you in my gallery---I give my deepest bows and gratitude to all of you. May we see the day when the need for such sacrifice is a thing of the past...
I posted another 'wild tale', last week...but it was the wrong draft (!). I'll post it soon. I've been under the weather lately, working to stay 100%, so I was slowed a bit. I hope you all stay healthy as well...
Thanks for stopping by, and, again, bows to all who've sacrificed for the rest of us: You're not forgotten, ever. Blessings and peace, Mark
(I'll get to your uploads this week, I promise)

This is soooo beautiful, Mark, and it fits so perfectly with your words, my friend! And thank you! It was a privilege and a pleasure to serve (1968 - 1972).
And yes, a HUGE thank you to all of those laying their lives on the line with this new, invisible enemy! Thank you ALL so much!

So beautiful, Mark, with an overriding sense of tranquility...tranquility is so needed ATM for so many...Memorial Day reminds us of all those souls who gave up their lives for the US and its citizens: it is a day where we remember and give thanks for what the military men and women of the US performed in the line of duty resulting in their ultimate sacrifice. Also, during this miserable pandemic, we should not forget all the first responders, medical staff and essential workers who have died trying to serve, save and or protect us. They too were warriors.

Great dedication to Memorial Day and in times like this all over the world we don't have to forget those who are looking for our safety - love how the photo is wide and deep and love the toning, it turns from red, orange to pink in a bright yellow - wonderful!

A beautiful tribute to those who have lost their lives helping this country. We remember all fallen heroes.
The warm colors that are melting into one another, is stunning and comforting. The textures of plant, stone and water keep this down to earth and yet very interesting.
With no gatherings at cemeteries this year, they played TAPS at the cemetery down the street from me at 3:00pm on Monday. It was extra moving and emotional hearing the lone bugle call waft over the trees and into my back yard. The sound echoed off the mountains around us.

Beautiful image above to represent the mood of Memorial Day, Mark. My thoughts reflect those above. The health workers should be included in all this salute. I normally post something for Memorial Day, but along with my anxieties, my memory (pun not intended) fails me often during these terrible pandemic times. The best of luck to you and yours.
