Description

I took this photo two days ago at the end of a freezing and windy afternoon. Though the sky was ablaze in the distance, temperature was below zero but capturing the light then was a must, for me! La lumière est vraiment fantastique, venant du ras de l'horizon et adoucie par les nuages. Du coup, le paysage ressemble à un tableau! Magnifique photo, Jean-Luc, finalement, ça valait le coup de se geler les doigts! ;-)

The contrast of the overcast sky and cold, bluish-white snow with the blazing sun is breathtaking here. One can almost feel the cold here just by viewing this. Do bear with the winter, it will soon be over and spring will come!

I sometimes wonder whether it's lucky or unlucky for me to live in a place where there is only one season the whole year round (summer). On the one hand you'll never have to worry about winter, but on the other hand one misses out on the miraculous rhythms of nature and life...
