Description

Gathering into her one favourite dress, Young,sweet strawberries she plucked and landed, Inside her drawn up skirt,full and heavy handed, She carried the bounty of fruits to her backsteps, No less easy up the steep coutyard ,not unlike her other journeys she confessed. As she ate one of the tender ,succulent fruits she knew, This cottage life,these strawberries,these simple pleasures, Would become the epitome of the joys she'd needed.She'd had so few in many miles, And now the bright red fruit stained her lips the colour of future smiles. -- Sonya Gypsee
