Description

Capt. James T. Kirk prepares his crew to enter the energy barrier at the farthest edge of The Milky Way Galaxy. The recovered recorder marker from the SS Valiant indicates the ship had been lost to some kind of mind altering event near this location. The Enterprise arrives at the barrier in 2266. Gene Roddenberry had promised the network executives at NBC an "action adventure" set in the future in space. The first pilot "The Cage" had been rejected for having a story that was, according to Roddenberry, about "how the mind goes." He still managed to mix in "how the mind goes" with the ESP storyline of the second pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before." I devoted myself to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under heaven. What a heavy burden God has laid on men! The ship looks great. My Best friend when I was in grade school bought a blueprint book on where all the rooms and floors are on the ship.... where the capt. quarters were, the transporter room, sickbay - It's been so long since I've seen the book, do you know where all that stuff was supose to be?
