Description

Today I think of the events happening on 911: My empathy to the American nation on this day commemorating the event.

Do not allow sleezy politicians to ever make you sacrifice your flag and freedom. We lost ours to a revolutionary government who can host the Soccer World cup successfully, but cannot protect the lives of white farmers being murdered daily - over 3,000 thus far, comparable to the number of people who died on 911, we just cannot start a war...

I agree but how many of the original Africans were slaughtered and still are to this day. not different than the whites doing the same thing to Native Americans. no matter the race, many humans are blood thirsty people no matter the race Thursday 25 people were murdered in Ciudad Juarez in the name of drug cartels and the total of deaths are staggering to the senses

Your words are so true, Piet! I cannot speak much here on that topic, only to say that as an American I thank you for your advice and I also wonder why we are so readily giving up our own freedoms with both hands. It's a trend pushed by politicians with empty promises and I hope soon that we as a nation will wake up and smell the coffee before it indeed is too late. It's time to look into that clenched fist and demand it be opened; just because we're told there's a gold nugget in it doesn't mean it's so.

I look at this image and I have SO many questions that I am afraid cannot be answered. I do think that the smoke is masking so many things, here. But notice how strong and resilient the sun is as it refuses to be completely covered even though it CAN be surrounded. Look to the sun and take on these characteristics.

Great shot and thanks for your comments. Politicians in democratic countries need to do their jobs and stop just trying to keep their jobs by following "popular" sentiment.

The right to bear arms is fundamental. Historically, it is seen that when a government disarms its private citizens, it takes away their ability to protect themselves. Even against the wrongs of their own government. I can't imagine having my flag taken from me. You have brought both a tear to my eye and an anger in my stomach for all people who suffer inequality from their own government. Today, my flag flies in memory of the innocent people who lost their lives on 9/11. I also fly it for others who die daily in their own fight for the right to live.

My Heart goes out to your people as well Piet! Sadly our Ranchers on the Southern Border are being subject to attacks which our Government seems unwilling to deal with.

Stunning capture Oom Piet. I agree. Politicians can and always make empty promises and of course that is why they are politicians.Crime is creeping closer and closer to every South African citizen.Any way the true word the Bible said it will get worse before the Lord comes back to earth again. So expect worse to come, but trust in the Lord.
