Description

They are watching me, Are they watching you? Passing silent judgement on the things that you might do I never thought but . . . Just who are they? Why should we care about the things that they might say? They don't exist They're not a being Just us through someone else's eyes we're seeing. ---------------------------------- note: I love it when something I write and an image I create can come together to give myself the shivers. This image now adorns my desktop fullsize (1280x800)

"They" are all over the place. But it doesn't matter, because "they" just aren't important.

Experimental: At MY age, I can only HOPE someone thinks that "I" am WORTH watching. GRINS. As for passing 'silent' judgement, I say as long as it's SILENT, OK by me. SMILES. As for 'shivers', I fondly recall the last time that happened to me. Somewhere back in the 1970's? WINK. As for 'they', a mighty FUN bunch, aren't THEY? MORE SMILES.

They are wimps and cowards, not worthy of the power of fear we give them. They are insecurity and projected neurosis. Sometimes, They are Us, so afraid of what we see in the mirror, that We try to stamp out anything that doesn't bow down the wounds our egos inflict on themselves. They are pitiful things--hens in a coop, passing judgement on themselves so that they don't have to think about the fox outside. When we face Them, we see ourselves, and sometimes (most times, actually) we see that They aren't so bad, so maybe They, quite simply, need either a handshake or a hug. I like what you've written here...it evokes a lot of thought (and discussion.) I like the image, and yeah, I'd use it as a desktop too. If something gives you a good shiver down your spine, the least you can do is put it on your desktop and pat yourself on the back and go: "yeah, that rocks!" Even better if you meet one of Them, and s/he gives you free beer.
