Fascinating! Are those coats of arms above the little angels up there? Or are they hieroglyphics? So much to look at while pretending to contemplate the bill being considered at present, I guess!

ditto again, denise and andrea. And yes, those do look like coats of arms, they have arms, and look ceremonial. Maybe they represented the key families at one time. With interiors like this, a photographer is always presented with overload; it's hard to get 'just one sight' with so much visible at every turn. You got a singular view here, all the same; and it centers in light, and is framed with layers of different opulence, including those angels on top of each pillar, and of course the painting on the ceiling. Can you imagine having this for your living room? Sweeping shot, with more subdued light than the previous one. It makes the view look more restful and reclusive...
