Description

Please zoom in... this is a very large image... My friend and fellow modeler Tony M. of Realms Art has just released a fine Viking figure for Poser users and it is currently available at Cornucopia3D. In August, Corn/E-On will be highlighting a Viking Theme, and so for my own canvas works using Tony's figures to include his Highlanders, I have been modeling a Viking ship to the level of detail that I want and I hope you too! As you can see in this panel, I have a number of things I wanted to see... planking with rivets, Mastheads that will have that aged look when done in wood, and finally an overall worn, wooded look about everything rather then bright painted colors. The brightest thing I may have will be the red and white paneled Sail.. but I assure you it will be weather worn! I should finish this by weeks end. I will have the oars so they can be removed, stacked and generally handled with your poser figures in action. I would like to provide the sails in several positions. Shields will be provided that can also be removed... and for those who have Tony's Viking and the many shields he provides, I am working out so you can use them to outfit the ship also. Finally, I haven't been too active with comments of people's postings. I have been throwing myself into new skill sets and programs to make an effort to provide more interesting items for both you and my canvas work. and...... a number of you have written and asked, informed... that I should make my models available for the Poser community. When I finish this ship, I will then be working to make it available for you. I also plan to move next to the Tree Outlook Post. I want to thank my oldest son who has been teaching an old dog new tricks in Modo modeling. If I haven't told everyone twice already, he is a professor at VaTech and teaches Animation and 3D modeling.... and has been tutoring me along over the phone. So lets have some fun next month with Vikings attacking everyone......

It is not finished yet, but if I know you I know that it will be first class quality. So I look forward to buy your first Poser model! After all, the vikings was my ancestors! ;)

I'm with Ralph on this one. I've never seen a viking ship model of this quality before. Absolutely stunning work! Can't wait to see the final version! This should be a joy to work with.
