Description
The Vickers Viscount was the first modern postwar turboprop airliner to enter service in Australia, its arrival signalled the beginning of the end of the piston engined airliner in Australia.

Another excellent shot of a historic aircraft. Today I see the block between the front tires to keep the nose gear from coming down eliminating the flat tire problem on display aurcraft. Cool.

I thought you was down under! That bright blue sky and Brit planes (plus the Sabre) got me thinking. Great avaiation pics and I particulalry like this one. The Viscount is an elegant bird!
