Description

This is the first in a series we're doing for a reconstruction of Valle Crucis Abbey near Llangollen in North Wales. I'll be posting other images from the same vantage point but of other times. These will be part of a big presentation that will include a 4 minute animation showing the abbey regressing from its 21st Century ruin back through time to its 13th Century beginnings. Once again, most of the work here is done by my partner in time, Phurst with some Photoshop work done by myself. Hope you enjoy, Mak & Pete

The modeling, composition and the quality of the lighting is exceptional. My only critical input here is that the textures could use a bit of weathering if you are going for realism. Just a suggestion... :o)

Interesting you should say that Moe. They were originally - streaks down the stonework where the windows are ect - but I thought that since, in the next images in the sequences, you'll see the building age I'd save them until then. Mm, may be should have included them. Thanks,

Excellent work here, and a very interesting project! The pile of sand on the right could use a little less saturation in my opinion, it's too yellow now. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Great idea of "rebuilding" the place just by regressing the time:) Excellent modeling and posing, although the materials don`t look as good... Good luck!

Absolutely exceptional. I'm highly impressed by the detailed architecture and the perfect texturing and especially by all those medevial machines that I never saw before in a render image! Only one question: The guy on the wagon reveals one brown buttock where his grey tunika should be I guess. Intentionally or inadvertently?
