Description

Some more stuff that I had put aside, these were for my own personnal use as scene fillers when setting up renders for allied vehicles. For many years I purchassed or used whatever freebies were available for US jerry cans, but was always let down. Well I went about to remedy that, I think that these are as close as I could get. I added a twist to the set, something I haven't found elswhere, the US water jerry can + a field fuel pump & flexible spout & 2 different hoses, aslo made both gas & water jerry cans available open & closed, in the US Army, the there was more than 1 type of jerry can, & 4 or 5 manufacturers. On top of that the standard water can was of the flip type, this was to differenciate from the screw type used on the gas cans, easier to identify in the dark. There was a rarer version of the screw type aslo for water but it had a W instead of the G stamped on the sides. I am rather pleased with these, they came out really nicely. Thanks for looking.

Mmmm. So... are they "Jerry" cans... or "Yankee" cans??? ;-) Either way, the models look pretty good- I especially like the bumps in the drums... adds a bit extra realism when they are rendered.

Good selection of fuel cans. I especially like the drums with hand cranks. In 1982 we were still using these in oil drums in the workshop :)

Great job. We still had most of these in use in Korea in 1956-57. These would be very marketble if not overpriced.
