Love your atmospheric postwork on this one, Mark - the graceful lines of the snow on the roof seem to echo the curves of the architecture & the spidery tree limbs only add to the effect. It looks like it would be very comfortable gracing the pages of a classic child's book of fairy tales...

what a delightful little cottage. I love the fun textures in this and the snow does look like icing.

Mark, this is a fabulous photo and without a doubt my favorite of the night. For some reason I didn't think of cottages and the city, and upon seeing this urban cottage was totally blown away. This cottage is a true marvel, and appears to be very roomy at the same time. The snow covered cough is the perfect touch and one could hardly imagine a more comfy place to get out of the elements.

An urban cottage? How could that be? An oxymoron if I read one. In any case, I echo photosynthesis's evaluation of this really cool, almost sepia toned abstract panorama. Most impressive and definitive when viewed via zoom. Love the snow effects and textures in this one. It's like the last place Hansel and Gretel were last seen.

Delightful photo. It does have the quaint feel of a gingerbread house from a fairytale. Complete with snow frosting on the roof. And an interesting contrast to the city photo you posted.

Indeed it does look like: Ein Knusperhaus von dem "Haensel & Gretel" Fairytale by the Brothers Grimm, (built with 'Lebkuchen' & Fairyfloss') Magical memories for me, when I grew up in Berlin with bedtime stories like this ... A fine result with that organic touch of photo manipulation - to make it come alive once more ;)) BB

Yes yes. I am out of clever comments. They are all in here already. But I totally agree with Denise... well almost...not the snow ty, but only the look of it :) and Harry and Andrea. I also see the man to the left, who isnt really there :-) This is amazingly beautiful. I simply is in awe again. !!!!!!!!!!!.
