Description

I managed to catch a Mississippi Kite flying lower than usual over my house yesterday. If you'll look closely, you'll see that he is looking down at the insect he just caught. But, if you'll look again, you'll see that he now has 2 insects - one in each foot! Of course, I didn't notice any of this as I was crazily snapping away. I didn't see this detail until I had downloaded the whole set of shots. Usually they fly so high, that most details are lost, and even this is cropped quite a bit. Sterling contrast against that beautiful sky, in another one of your high flying action shots, Maria. I had to go to zoom to just about make out that double insect catch. I bet the Kite was happy about that.
