Looks like it needs a bigger frame to picture the circular design. Love your abstract fractal work Barb.

This is such a wonderful fractal to visualize an old idiom--trying to fit a square peg into a round hole...

My computer's suddenly sputtering, but I'm determined to get this comment out, come hell or high water...I love this! I love it! Every so often, you do these more 'abstract' pieces; and when you do, they're so immediate and powerful. I love your choice of hues, and how you set off those deep reds with white trim and bright oranges. And how you get texture on the circles; and even fine shadows, with white 'streaks' at the four outer corners of the frame (like the frame is reflecting off of water). And you didn't center the circle-squares: You put them slightly off center, which makes a much bigger statement. This is minimalist---kind of---and has just the right proportions. (In minimal work. proportions play a really big role, as much as hue, shape, etc.) And this shows your innate choice and artistry...not an easy style to pull off, and I love it. It reminds me a little of Albers, but I like it a lot more than Albers. Love it, Barb, really immediate.
