Description

A couple of days or so after 9-11 I made a series of abstracts based on scans of my hand, haunted by my own contemplation of the event. I'm not interested in entering into political debate here as there's plenty of that (too much?) elsewhere. Just reflecting on the sheer panic of those who were there... Thank you for viewing and your thoughts are always appreciated :-)

I really have a lot of catching up to do with commenting on your latest works, not that you don't know what I already think, but I sorta feel I should keep up tradition L. This carries your beautiful fusion between graphics and fine art - the macrabre/horrific and pure beauty. Thank you so much as always for sharing all that you do hugest hugs xxxxx

I think you were wise to steer clear of the politics of the event here, as I think it would have deflected attention from the works themselves, and that would have been a shame, as these are extraordinary creations, all three. No doubt, of all the art inspired by the events of 9/11, it would be hard beat these...

Thanks Jyri - I must admit I hardly ever work in the style you see here now, although I still bring it out once in a while. You can tell this is 2001 work really. I'm grappling with natural media more now, but can't envisage leaving digital behind...

the patterns you like to make so much make me think of some sort of weird cybernetic crystallization... i know that has nothing to do with these but they look great :-)

Strange, the black and white image caused me to investigate, but I agree the central one is the better. You have a formidable imagination.
