Description

The young Commander James T. Kirk was leaving Earth Base Command for the first time as captain of the nineteen year old heavy cruiser USS Enterprise. The butterflies in his stomach took an extra flutter at thought that some of his past Captains were in view: Captain Sinclair of the Republic was bringing his ship in, Captain Alter of the destroyer Farragut had just arrived at Earth orbit station, and Captain Ramart of the former auxiliary USS Antares was heading out on a parallel course. All it would take to get him years of teasing was a missed thruster firing or to overload a point on the impulse deck. Kirk had a "green" crew and he was a "greener" captain. In 2265. No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved." Your combination of science fiction and Christian faith in your artwork has always fascinated me. Blessings to you in Christ.

Lovely work on this one RG love the space station too great storyline also very well done!! This one reminded me of the scripture: Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the Lord.. Obadiah 1:4 KJV The eagle was the first man lander on the moon and the space station is the nest among the stars?? Just a thought..
