Description

Built a new model of a wrecked and vandalised grav car in Wings3D and decided to build a background and lighting set to put it in. The setting takes place near an abandoned mining colony on a hellish little planet in a binary star system. You don't want to go out at high noon with two suns, lol.

Notes-grav car textured in Bryce and UVmapper. Textures from Mayang, StevenRay and Munkh3yMagnet. Minor post and signature in PS. Thank you for looking.

When I told the bureaucrat I wanted to form a corporation he replied drily, "Crustal or non-crustal"

This is a really interesting concept. Nicely done. The sand is bright, but with two suns at high noon, it probably would be. Like the modeling. I have a question and suggestion about the two suns. I don't get the sense that there is two suns. However, that doesn't mean you don't have two. Since Bryce doesn't normally give you the option of more than one sun, I've found that I can get two or more by just using the light spheres and sizing and placing them where I want. I often change the color of the light as well. When you have more than one light source (suns), you should have a blurring of the shadows, really two different ones at different angles. If you haven't tried this, I encourage you to try an update with this picture. Think you'd find it is even more interesting.

Ohh... I missed this one Dan. This is a very cool image. That sand is fantastic. And yes there must be 2 suns according to the shadows. The modeling and uv mapping is excellent. Nice work Dan.
