Description

Taken about six weeks ago when a variety of insects like to warm up on an east wall in the early morning sun on a very cool morning. The Red Admirals were quite skittish, but this one Question Mark Butterfly (Polygonia interrogationis) stayed long enough for me to get a closeup of their fuzzy bodies that normally isn't seen all that well when they are flitting about the flowers. Preview very soft, furry bits much better in zoom. Thanks for looking and thanks for your kind comments.

We never think of insects being furry, but it seems like quite a few of them really are; superb capture of this beauty!

You've got selective focus down to a science in this striking capture of the lovely spotted butterfly, Maria.
