Description

Just a simple render in Daz Studio 4.9 with Iray. This will be my last DAz Studio for a while until Daz techs figure out why my Studio won't work. I lost all my content and the entire interface is messed up. I tried reinstalling Studio, but it did not help. It just installed the same messed up version. What I need is a clean install of DIM and Studio. But I don't know how to do it. It seems Daz does not uninstall everything but leaves the settings behind somewhere in Windows 7 64 bit. Even the DIM has the same settings. It tells me everything is installed even though it has gone and won't let me re-download the products. What a mess. I know how you feel My old Poser and Vue stopped working. each company blamed the other. Very brave hanging out in the lions cage, but they look pretty well fed, so I guess she's safe...til desert !

Sounds like you need to edit your registry to remove Daz, there a some good free registry cleaners out there, just do a Google.

what have you done then??.i am glad i dont use dim or any other helper for daz,and i dont ever let daz look for content and i dont use smart content either all is done and installed manually. i still have my runtime form the days of daz 2 for my poser and daz (regular)content.then of course for the daz 4 genesis etc i use the daz 4 my library. but if the content is still on the harddisk you need to point the prograsmm to the adequate runtime to look up the content.

edit/preferences/content library/content directory manager/...and there you point to the repective directories daz native; poser etc..........
