Description

A graphical interlude while I put my mind around the Ishtar series. This is Val's newest character, Shirifa, with pose and weapons by Jenny and Chuck. Thank you ladies and gentleman. Sorry it has taken so long I am really trying to push through my Ishtar series, but you people are providing some luscious diversions! This work was inspired by Dr. Carl who is a master of simplicity in his set design. Here I reduced the set props to just a bird, a cat, and a coupla pots. Sharifa's facial features appear to be African but her skin tones are more Middle Eastern or even Mediterranean. Perhaps she is Ethiopian? Regardless, when I saw this character I knew that she had to come from a sun drenched land and so I put her into DM's new Sunedge and set the scene with a hot, sunny didi_mc backdrop. I love how this character's well defined muscle morphs and the subtle complexity of her skin textures really play with the light in this scene. This image gave me a chance to work with painted hair, which I found I truly loved! But is it just me or is it always really wierd rendering cueball bald chics? Thanks to Jenny for suggesting I try CWRW mane n tail pack! A fair bit of photoshop tweaking went into making it look like this but CWRW structures and base textures are just amazing.

Yes! Finally a painted hair! Been working but I saw your work and can't help but comment. You've done a terrific work on her hair. I will also suggest StudioArtVartanian's (Jo) Oriental Fantasy Hair, a good base for long flowing hair. The fun part is painting the highlights. Congrats for a job well done, Roxy!

Gorgeous Roxy - love the pose, expression, lighting and effects. The textures are top notch too. The simplified set design brings the focus to the character, so I think this is a good thing. Very nicely done!
