I have seen piles of rocks like this in the corner of fields in Iowa on highway 61.

maybe two feet. the stone beings are not boulders so they are limited on height

This reminds me of an artist that used to post a lot here back in the day - NefariousDrO... He used to stack rocks like this - also did some great spaceships in Bryce.
