Okay, one more sky photo. ;o] ----- The Moon Tree At the edge of a small village stood a tree. This wasn't just any tree, it was the tallest tree in the glade. Its long sinewy arms stretched towards the sky as if trying to reach for something beyond the clouds. Soon, the golden hues of a late day sun began to beckon the moon to rise. Oh, how the tree yearned to rise with it! It would wait patiently through wind, rain and sun just to be able to get another glimpse of that glorious orb in the heavens. Later that night a hurricane grazed the edges of the land, attempting to displace the foliage and limbs of the trees. As the winds grew more fierce, the tree could hear its neighboring plants succumb to the unearthly strength of the elements. It heard *snaps* and *crashes* as the night wore wearily on. The tree was frightened, but it remembered its old friend the moon and how nothing stopped it from rising over and over again. The tree clung to that thought as the wind tugged at its arms, pulling fragments of foliage from its delicate wooden appendages. After what seemed like an eternity, the wind dissipated and a new day's sun revealed the changes that the storm left in its wake. The tall tree breathed a sigh of relief and before long, its brethren in the glade looked upon it with great amazement. "Look, the tall tree has turned into the moon!" exclaimed one of the pine trees. And it was true! The brutal winds had actually turned the tall tree into the moon... ----- Story by Lisa Hunt, photo by Kort Kramer.

Beautiful! I see the moon! ;) This is such a pretty and compelling shot. I love the branches of the tree that look like they are reaching for that moon. Very well done! :)

Looks like one of those walking talking trees from Lord of the Rings. Beside a unique picture of a tree the color in the sky helps make the whole pic. nicely done...
