Description
I have posted this before but with all the terrible poaching of South Africa's magnificent Rhino I felt the need to write a poem to go with the image.
It's not a wonderful image or poem but both came from my heart.
'The Last Rhino.'
He stands in the dying rays of the sun
Waiting for the man with a gun
A human his life will take
Shot and mutilated for moneys sake.
He stands there proudly, sniffing the breeze,
A dozen gunshots bring him to his knees
Soon they come from out the bush,
With panga’s and saws, they need to rush,
They chop and gouge, they are in danger,
They could be caught by a diligent Ranger
But for them their luck is true,
They disappear into the blue.
As they leave with their gory prize
To feed a need based on lies,
Little did the poachers know
That they had just killed The Last Rhino.

a sad poem about rhino poaching ... greed has so disrupted that good spirits half of the World, Africa and Europe has no remorse for destroying wildlife and ... humans of modest !!!
