(Note: the size of this posted image here is 2840x1598 to show the details but the JPG is at 55% quality in order to get it in under the maximum size gallery limits.) The Last Banana --------------- created: 4-8th-JAN-2014 created and rendered in Poser Pro 2014 (64bit), a bit of sharpening etc in postwork -------------------------------------- items used: ----------- * poses all by Skylab www.sharecg.com --freebies-- (they're actually for M4) * V4 * XCC-990 Fembot by winnston1984 (for this image, "Fembot Full Metal" option chosen (it includes the wiring being visible)) Rendo store * LIGHTING !StudiOLights! by Corvas Rendo store (altered & added to by me for this image) * MATERIALS on the floor is from Essentials Vol1 - The Floors by Fabiana Rendo store (Terracotta-smallTiled 03 used) * fruit props Exnem's Fruits by Exnem Rendo store * Newton Spheres (Newtons Cradle) prop by (matted with Whop's MAT from "Materials 17", specifically "A" section, "a14") --freebie-- * WD Materials Vol 17 by WhopperNnoonWalker Rendo store * table (visible legs at least) and stool (sitting upon) from: Medieval Tavern by Faveral DAZ store : : - "table 3" I used (twice) for the "A-frame like" table legs seen. - "bench 5" I used for the sitting stool on the rightside of the image. - "table 6" I used for the supposedly unseen bench seat(s), but the legs of which are seen. (all of which I made a deep brown colour to fit into the rest of my image) -------------------------------------- about: ------ Firstly, there is no way that I'd ever try to do an image like this unless I had Skylab's poses! ;-) I came across them one night at sharecg and instantly had this idea to make the archetypal scene....but with robots. If I had've known then just how much work was ahead of me, I wouldn't have started this project! >:-( The poses are for individual M4's but I used V4's since that's what the "XCC-990 Fembot" is in. SPECIAL NOTE!-For every 'robot' female character, there is in fact 2 characters. One is the robot itself and the other is a Vicky 4 figure which the robot figure is INSIDE of. So that's a total of 26 figures in the scene, and that's not counting any props. -- No wonder Poser was chugga-chugging at times, especially if I added anything more extravagent that what I used. A lot of reboots during development simply because Poser seemed to hang and be unresponsive. - You'd think I'd be beyond this with 32gig of memoroy? - Looking at Poser itself it was using 5gig at the most. - Rendering was okay, just waiting for it to finish was the easy part. I'm not going to tell you everything about what I did to make this image, suffice to say I didn't want (or could!) make an imitation of the classic painting(s). Besides, I wanted to do my own take on it all....and that includes adding the various expressions to the characters, etc, etc, etc. Phew! I'm not doing one of these big projects again if I can help it, especially with me trying to 'ease myself' back into doing artwork after a 2 year absence from it. This stuff kills me. Z.

I bow to you just for attempting this undertaking. I really like the whole concept and the execution of said image. I do have one question (LOL). Is Jes-oid (Jesus) really contemplating F=ma or am I reading to much into this? (Sorry that's just the way I think.)

@Greywolf44.....I scoured the net looking for a freebie Newtons Cradle that was either posable (chance would be a fine thing) or at least have one of the balls swinging out to give the semblance of motion. But I couldn't find anything suitable and my time was running out so I went with the static model shown. One of my earlier title musings was, "It's finally stopped." but that was too esoteric. And so the figure just sits there saddened and confounded at a lack physics. ;-) If you look at the scene as a whole you'll see that the most of the cast other than the central figure is at loggerheads with somebody else or they're busy conniving or something or other. Also, I don't know if anyone gets it or not but I did the entire scene as also a way of showing social inequality ranging from the least cared and wanting for much at the left side, to the opulent and wasteful on the right side. Poser literally was choking on working on this and I'd had enough, so other things I had planned to add later went by the wayside. I tried a few out and they detracted from the main scene anyway so I kept things simple. For instance I was going to have a rat under the end of the table at the left and a fat cat on the right with both of them staring at each other, again as a social comment. And as for the title of the image.....keep your enemies close but your bananas closer, beware the banana thief taking your one and only piece of food you have left. Oh, and the pineapple is held that way as if it's a little baby.....
