Not only are visitors allowed to feed the koi, they are also encouraged to do so, and have provided a couple of food dispensers near the pond where you insert a coin, turn a lever, and out comes a big handful of tasty morsels to be used as a scrumptious snack for the colorful swimmers. The garden maintenance crew also feed the fish on a daily basis. They want the koi to grow up to be big and strong.

Lovely experience...feeding the fishes. Except when the Mafia tells you to pay up or you'll be feeding the fishes. But then they also give away concrete shoes...don't think I want any of those either. Thanks Harry for a couple of sharp, well photographed collages of your favorite Koi pond...mighty nice.
I like these even better than the last! Terrific composition and interaction in the first one. Looks like a big agitation happened a little left and top of center. Excellent effects of the light and ripples on the koi in number two. I love the vegetation in the top right corner of number three and the way one koi seems about ready to eat from the girls hand. It's a frenzy in number four! I like the small one going over the giant, and the light and ripples. I see one that looks like it's wearing lipstick. Beautiful clarity and color in all the images! Great shots!
