Description

This scene was made for the Infinite Oz project for Fallon/Scifi channel and B-Reel, as part of the promotional campaign for the mini series Tin Man. All the terrain were made with Bryce´s terrain editor and imported into Cinema4D where the rest was built, and rendered with Maxwell. Then i brought the scene into Photoshop, blew up the size to end resolution and painted the finer details. The resolution at 11000x7000 is probably the largest i´ve worked with and was a challenge in its own. :) Don´t forget to watch the animation here. :) http://www.road2oz.com/ Hope you enjoy.

I'm moved beyond words. I first got into art over 30 years ago when my brother gave me for Christmas a book of Roger Dean's artwork for Yes....the seismic shock of seeing such creativity and sheer beauty moved me to become an artist and is still with me even now, and this takes me straight back there. This picture, on the face of it, deceptively simple and plain compared to your other inspirational works, is just beyond words in its pure and essential beauty and reminds me once more of the power of art to move the soul and stir deep emotions. The most moving and perfect piece I have ever seen here.

I just saw the site and I must admit it is the most stunning part of animation I've seen in a long long time. Big fat thumbs up to all those involved.
