Description

This is an orchid I gave my sister a year ago Christmas. It's never stopped blooming and I am SO jealous!! Mine give me blooms twice a year if I'm lucky. She stuck this in her kitchen window and it obviously loves it there!! Took me a couple of days, but I finally got back online. I've been at a friend's south of SF and every time I walk in her door, all the electronics stop working. Must be my magnetic personality!!

What a beauty this orchid is...looks like the same type of blooms you used so well several days ago in your posts. Nicely captured.

Super stellar clarity, colors and lighting effects in this capture of the ever blooming orchid, Marilyn! As for your antielectronic powers, it reminds me of some of the strange characters depicted in the television series, Fringe.

Wow, constant bloom? Wonder what she's feeding it! It's a beauty, and your shot is wonderful! Have you thought about stealing it?

Lovely! The ticket on one of mine said expect 20 months of bloom out of 24! And some of them do and so of them don't!

Ha ha! yep it is all that vibrancy within you that stops the electrics, it must be that it just cannot compete. I love the orchid, and hadn't realised that they can bloom for so long, it wouldn't in my house LOL. Somehow flowers prefer it outside in my garden, the moment anyone buys me a potted flower it is doomed when it comes in the door. hugs Jane xx

given the electricity you put in your gallery, maybe your friend's lights are just jealous. This is a beautiful orchid, and you captured the textures well, that silky rough 'plush' on their petals. Also, you got a totally unexpected view, not the usual flower-views so many of us go for (me in ptg & drawing of course)...you got it from an unusual and very expressive angle—nice thinking on your part. Your capture of the red stamen-sections from different angles is very creative. I'd never have thought to draw a flower from this angle, but now I really should...you got me thinking...
