Description

Hi all! It was a very long break. My last post is from the time my baby arrived. Now she is eight months old and my sleep (at least mine) is more regular again. And my first frustrations with UF4 are beginning to fade: All my recent UF3 images don't open without errors in UF4. UF4's formula compiler is stricter than the one from UF3. I had to find and fix bugs ignored by UF3 so far. Therefore this image is made in both programs: With my eternal beta Pure ColourBy (T37) which is error free in the eyes of the UF4 compiler... The image was rendered in UF3. Currently I am reading the new novel by Cornelia Funke: Tintenblut (Inkblood, but the English title is Inkspell), a story (part II) which captured me at once and which makes me long for part three. The second part ends very dark, no happy end without tears... After I finished this image I felt that it mirrors my feelings about the end of that fascinating novel... I hope you like my post - many thanks for viewing and perhaps commenting.

I'm honored to leave the first comment under this incredible piece of fractal art. Welcome back, Andreas! I love the richly colored Julia; superb lighting and melancholy mood and awesome texture work. A sweet little partially pearlescent sphere and a very cool paper texture back. Outstanding!

A somber, richly textured, and strikingly contrasted spiral tower..I like the embedded pearl idea well... Fine and meticulous craftsmanship....

Welcome back. It is hard to know what to say as this is far different from the 'abmlober style' I have seen in the past. The textures are much more to my liking--subtle, yet present. I like the coloring. I like the little sphere in the left spiral. A moody fractal and beautiful.

Excellent textural distortion of the fractal - it leaves just the right amount of the underlying structure visible. I like the colours too.

This reminds me of nebula forming and expanding in space -- or sea shells forming in tiny coves. As above, so below ... but then I suppose that's the meaning of fractal images. Beautiful and thought provoking. Well done. **

Very ominous, even in thumbnail mode it made me feel like something threatening was rearing up to confront me... Well done, very strong!
