Description

I'm not sure what drove me more to create this moth, the funny name or the amazing wing patterning, but the combination of them made it an absolute to include in my Moths of the World v2 project. This moth (Utetheisa pulchella) has a wingspan of 29-42 mm (1.4-1.65 inches). It is found in Africa, Southern Europe, Central and Southern Asia and Australia. The larvae feed on Forget-me-not, Echium, Borago and Anchusa species. Rendered in Poser 2014gd without postwork. Models include DinoRaul Trees (background), Flink's Skydome, Lisa's Botanicals flowers and my Moth.
