Description

OK, I've been working on revising my earlier picture (the cove--still in my gallery to see for comparison's sake) using the many comments provided by everyone before (thank you, thank you)! :) I reduced the bump settings a good bit, but still wanted to leave a rocky look. Also, moved the sun to get a better look at the main part of the hill (it was in dark shadow before). I did lose some of the cool water effect, but I combined this render partially with the old one in photoshop to get some of it back. Had to re-work the vegetation too. Anyway, I have to thank everyone for their awesome helpful comments so that I could improve my work. Hope I've done them some justice! :)

Yes yes, exactly what I had in mind for improvements :) Very well done! The surfacing and lighting has improved very much, and yes...you did lose some "quality" on the water, but it still looks pretty neat :) Excellent work!

Very fine water, maybe too much sharpen ?

It is better - too many bumps for my taste, though ;-) Try to pu the bump on a low position with #Mimic terrain' on 3/4, low scale, A child layer with almost full scale and 'mimic terrain' and 3/4 of bump should do it ;-) (you may have a look on my latest two surface-tests, which I did with those settings (the gras was done a bit diferently)))

Still a great pic, but hasn't changed that much for me - I'd still reduce the bump significanly and rely on post sharpening to get you the rocky effect...
