We are very proud to announce the winner of this months "Artist of the Month" - Ute Reichling [UteBigSmile]. Ute received nearly twice the number of votes from the Renderosity community for the Artist of the Month. She is a highly regarded artist and friend to many in the community. Ute works primarily with DazStudio and in Mixed Mediums, as you can see in her gallery. She is a talented and imaginative artist who creates evocative imagery which is often infused with themes of fantasy, science fiction, folklore and domestic scenes from history. Ute has contributed an astonishing 3,457 digital artworks since joining Renderosity in 2005.

I'm very happy to announce that after a week of voting Renderosity members have overwhelmingly chosen UteBigSmile as the Renderosity Artist of the Year! Ute is a strong member of the community having posted over 3,000 of her artworks to Renderosity galleries since she joined in 2005. She was chosen "Artist of the Month" for June, 2015 and works primarily with Daz Studio and Mixed Mediums. As you can see from the video she created of her 2015 artworks (see below), UteBigSmile is a talented and imaginative artist. This is very cool... Even the still image is excellent but the animation adds extra fun ... so there's definitely at least ONE artist I can think of who is not short of ideas 😆!

L'art peut figurer l'absence d'idées ou autres, ou l'ennui. D'ailleurs, il n'y a pas à les redouter, puisqu'il font parties de notre expérience. Revenons à ce qui est amusant, c'est-à-dire, à toutes les idées qui sont bien là, dans ton image : de ses bottines à talon aiguille, elle va rayer ou briser les verres des lunettes de vue, cela confirmerait-il qu'il n'y a rien à voir dans cette image? Ses guêtres et manchons de bras noirs, associés aux tons de sa peau ne sont pas sans évoquer les crayons à papier présents dans le pot sur lequel elle est assise ; l'ensemble reste-t-il au repos sans inspiration pour l'action ? Dans la version animée, ses cheveux sont beaucoup plus ébouriffés que dans l'image fixe : elle a dû se les gratter longuement avec le pinceau pour en faire surgir des idées ; à moins qu'elle s'y prenne "comme un manche". Ce pinceau serait-il un outil synesthésique qui transforme directement l'audition des idées en formes s'offrant à la vue ? Et ce visage esquissé qui sourit ne formerait-il pas signature, ma chère Ute ? Dernier sourire de l'image : le petit bichon blanc, l'oeil craintif, d'être pris lui aussi pour une autre page blanche, propice à créer des dalmatiens. "Les regardeurs font les tableaux", disait Marcel Duchamp.
