Description

The Art of Boolean (Part 45) the final render. The image above is the final render from the wire frame I posted last week. The model is still a work in progress as I may be adding new feature in the coming weeks. This picture shows the redesign of the command module for the Mars spaceship Hermes1. I have posted 106 pictures today August 30 2009 showing the various stages of the design so far for the command module. If you would like to view these pictures, please visit my website http://www.bambam131.com. You will find these images located in the gallery (Mars Explorer Hermes1). The model to date has been created using both Bryce 5.5 and 6.1 with all post-work done in Photoshop. The picture presented above is to show all design details to this point and not meant as posed space scene. This is an on going project that so far has taken over 2 months of work to redesign. I still have two sections left to work on. 1: the housing support structure, which will be attached to both command module and fuel tanks/engines section for the Lander that will descend to the Martian surface. 2: a redesign of the Mars Lander itself. I hope that you enjoy my work and all comments are welcome. Cheers, David

I still think NASA should employ you. Maybe we'd get to Mars quicker.

Excellent modeling! Great detail with all the hand rails. And everything else. From the previous image, I can see how much you put into the pilot's station. It adds great realism even if only a portion is visible in this view. If I were to make one (very minor)nit, it would be the gold fuel(or whatever)tanks -- they contrast with the ship a lot - maybe a little duller or bumpier material? Or some more valves or other surface detail.
