Description

Blender, Poser, Photoshop, Fireworks --- Hello! Thanks for taking the time to view my work. An even bigger thanks to those who take the time to comment. I deeply appreciate your support. This is another "inspired by' work. I'll almost definitely approach this again, because I wasn't satisfied with the cloth or the softness of the light. The original is Gold Anje by Grinch7 and can be found at deviantART. Please go and take a look. I made the cloak, but the brooch is actually a pendant from the Jannika D'Cords set. I used my studio (as always), and all my own materials. The character is Alayeh by J.King (formerly Liquid Rust).

I love her expression and the intense light! I'll go look up the original and see how they compare--I love seeing the differences between the inspiration and your interpretation!

The key players here are your lighting and materials, not to mention your excellent cloak. I'll have to admit to being ignorant of the source of inspiration for this work, but quite frankly it stands on its own merits, truly. About the only exception I have is the figure itself, which seems a bit doll-like, in stark contrast to the expression (I'm interpreting this as fearfully questioning), which IS vivid, compelling. The dynamic cloth steals the show... you managed to give depth and weight to cloth. The stitching reinforces that impression. Excellent work, indeed!
