May we never forget all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedom. Thank you to all our honored veterans, and those who now serve. God bless you all.
The eagle is a magnificent sculpture at a Veterans’ Memorial near Gladstone, Missouri, as is the flag. The cemetery is located at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. All photos by me.

Great, I love it, simple yet conveying real meaning, just like Lincoln's words, I don't know exactly why, but Lincoln's words seem to be more powerfull than most, maybe its just that its been so long and only the best have stood the test of time, but I think there is more, maybe its that he had seen so much and been threw such times in keeping the union together that he voiced all that in his words. America would not be here except for those who have givin thier service and far too many who have given thier lives to make sure we can live in a free country. I think Veteran's day should be more respected than it is, and I think we should be not only thinking of the men and women of our armed forces but also the other men and women in our other forces, the firemen, policemen, and many others who everyday risk thier lives to protect every American.
