Description

Really quickie render.. the skywyrm sure is an awesome beast isn't it? I was just fiddling around with the material settings to get it to look the way I like, but I liked the test image so much I wanted to share it. View in full size to get the whole effect of the red-eyed glare. ^_^ It lost a little of its vividness in translation from .png to .jpg for some reason. ~ Credits ~ Swidhelm's Skywurm, Nerd3D Cave Entrance.

Awesome render - that beast looks like a "musthave" for every dragon entthusiast. Like the DOF view since it sets the right focus on the head of that beast - well done!

I have a trick for you to build up the glare in it's eyes. In the material room, add a new node: Lighting - Diffuse - Problight. Then change the top number to anywhere from 8 - 12 and the second number to 0. Then add the texture map to the node then add the node to the alternate specular node. That should add a nice eye glow to the beastie.

I just like looking at these SkyWyrm models. Thank you for sharing - good render and as already noted good choice in using DOF in this scene.
