Tapposaurus Rex; meaning "tapping lizard king", from Greek tappos (ταρρος) meaning "to tap dance", sauros (σαῦρος) meaning "lizard", and Rex meaning "King" is a genus of coelurosaurian theropod dinosaur.
At a dig in Dinosaur Valley, near Drumheller, Alberta, Canada, paleontologists recently uncovered the remains of what is believed to be the earliest know species of the Terpsichorus Coelurosaurian Theropod genus, now official named Tapposaurus Rex - "The King of Tap Dancing".
The Museum of Unlikely History has now unveiled this magnificent display depicting the Tapposaurus Rex in its natural setting - The Cretaceous Theater.
Made with Vue 10.
Dino bones and cane from Poser.
Top Hat belongs to Rex.

This is so cool... how comical and very well done Pete! We all need this from time to time. Very excellent setting and the lighting is very well done too, shining down on that T-Rex, who looks like he's having a great time. A good title for his song might be "Singing In The Light" Great scene all the way around!!! Also... thank you for the information and the brief summary above on this guy, along with the other information you gathered about the museum. Thanks!
I did see the title and noticed a dino spieces I never heard of before..... until I checked out the image. Someone is in a very goofy mood :-) Fun image and the description is even better..... Museum of Unlikely History, way too good! As far as I'm concerned when it comes to dino and such, it all belongs in this museum anyway ;-)
