Description

Tonight was one of those dark nights when the world seems darker and gloomier for more reasons than just the lack of sunlight. Health, finances, depression about both; this on top of the looming 6th holiday season without my dad. It's hard to resist climbing into a hole and refusing to come out. Working on this image has helped - looking at other peoples' art helps - talking about it helps. Maybe now I can actually sleep without nightmares.

Know exactly what you mean, artwork has kept me from the dark holes that living brings. These pastil colors make me think of midnight skys with the stunning aurora, northern lights over a bead of snow, quiet and calm and wonderfully beautiful. i have never seen the norther or southern lights, but your image, talisman, has provided me a gift of peaceful calm, so it can also be called a mendala. Thank you for this gift, it is appreciated and needed. Take care.

We are all in some way effected by life/health/financial/mourning and is when friends should standby and console those that feel like you are feeling before it escalates into something more....Here's a ladder and my hand....Time for someone to offer to help you out of this hole before you decide to climb in...(smiles).. I myself am faced year after year with having mixed emotions when the Holidays roll around being I too have many the issues you mentioned going on and 10 years later not having a mom or dad or brother to share them with can be a heavy weight to bare but I manage as I know they would want me to not forget them but at least move on with life as best as possible and not to climb into that hole no matter how warm and inviting(false feelings)...So If it' helps in any way....Your not alone.....(smiles)..
