Description

I enjoyed a fantastic pig roast last week. Believe it or not, this little fella (along with some other fixings)fed just over 1oo people. This is a home made rotisserie that we use for cooking different kind of meats. Thank you for taking the time to view and comment.

Art, this is outstanding. Not just the photo but the subject as well. For 3 years, some members of the family have been roasting a whole pig in a pit in the desert and I hear they are giving it up because it isn't as reliable as they's like - and 300 pound pigs are a bit difficult to get in and out of a pit. I'll have to show them this contraption. Seems it would certainly make for a juicy dinner for a crowd. Fabulous shot.

Looks like a proven design, no doubt the lower section can be raised up to control the heat intensity as well. Great photo.

Great shot.. And, dang it.. I miss my dad's old pig cooker and parties he used to throw.. lol. He had it customly built to be bigger then his business partner's pig cooker.. lmao.. It had 8 independent burners, 2 side burners for pots, 4 foot wide by 6 foot long, the top opened up like a BBQ grill which housed a 3 rack system, the bottom main rack and the other two to come in and out for different things like a Split, It was built on top of a trailer rack so it had two back wheels, front hitch, rear lights and a license plate.. LMAO.. We took it everywhere.. It was the biggest cooker in the city for years, until his partner decided to build a bigger one about 2 the size which then needed dually's for the rear wheels and also some heavy duty springs for the supension.. lol.. I need to go back to MI for a bit..
