the Texas State fair is going on right now.the largest in the USA from what I have heard lasting 3 weeks. I quit going several years ago as it is too expensive and hardly any animals except the 2 leg kind. glad you are back and looks like a fun fair

deliberate well :) jury wise, that is. Our State Fair will be opening in about a week, but the sky probably won't be this pretty, as cooler rainy Fall weather has started to settle in... have a great Halloween

ooooh, you got an almost dream-like feeling in this. Slightly soft, slightly dreamy, with a big soft pink tinged sky. (Homer, in The Iliad, used a famous expression, "rosy-fingered dawn"; but this is clearly evening. A beautiful sky you caught here.) I like that all the activity is in the lowest part of the photo, because that allows that sky to loom beautifully above. Nice contrast in the heavy reds and yellows of the lights, with the dark shadows of that pavilion. Also---there's a sign that says "Ice Cold Drinks". But, at first glance, I thought it said: "ICE COLD BRIBES". I thought---man, that's one loose advertisement! They're selling bribes! Maybe in Rhode Island...Or Chicago...) Very warm pre-nocturnal shot. Funny how I still expect Mass. to have hills everywhere. This could be in the midwest. I love your pov...
