Description
This was shot on a beautiful Fall day -- all of the colors were strong and beautiful; the water was acting more like a mirror than like water. I realized that Summer had departed ... and had been no more permanent than the ripples on today's water.
Nikon Coolpix 4300, handheld, available light, automatic exposure. Crop in Photoshop 7.0.
I appreciate each and every comment that is made -- progress depends on criticism as well as praise.

A slightly smaller resampled image would possibly bring out the water colours more in synchrony with the screen-sizes, but hey, this looks good - Ever tried videoing the ripples of a reflecting water surface? (also very relaxing to look at)

an everyday photograph of a everyday subject. But your write up for the image is ok, with photography you are not constrained by artistic aptitude, you simply need an artisic eye, and a basic understanding of your equipment. try looking for the unusual. All that said and done..with photography almost everything has been done before and as such, it is quite a hard medium to impress with, Better luck with the next one : )

Lovely reflections, lacking DOF, I think I might have focused more on the trees and their reflections rather then the house. :)
